Wall

How to specify

Interior stone walls are a fixing-system decision. Adhesive, mechanical anchoring or dry-hanging on a subframe — height, substrate and slab weight decide, in that order.

Recommended materials & thickness

MaterialThicknessWhy
Sintered Stone6–12 mmLarge feature walls: low weight allows adhesive fixing on flat, primed substrates.
Marble20 mmLobby walls dry-hung on aluminium subframes — serviceable and flat for decades.
Granite25–30 mmExterior walls and high-impact interior zones.
Tiles6 mm thin porcelainLift interiors and curved cladding where weight per m² is critical.

Design & installation notes

  • Above 3 m or on any flexible substrate, dry-hang — adhesive-only walls become maintenance calls.
  • Bookmatched walls: pair slabs polished face-to-face and check numbering before crating.
  • Leave 2–3 mm joints and agree the joint colour with the designer, not on site.

Care

  • A sealed interior wall needs only dust-mopping and a neutral cleaner.
